The much-talked-about golf course adjacent to the Krabi Sofitel Phokeethra Resort in Klong Muang is finally in the construction phase. Land for the 9-hole course has been cleared and building is expected to start this month.
Though the course will be part of the Sofitel Resort, it will be open to the public - or at least to any players with a handicap. Its opening will bring the number of courses in Krabi up to two - the other being the 18-hole Pakasai Country Club in Neua Klong district.
The fairways will overlook the Klong Muang beach and the sea across to the Hong Islands, so it promises to be an enticing prospect for both local players and visitors to the region.
